Welcome

Based and working freelance in London and internationally. Covering events, reportage, portraits, products and wedding photography taking booking for both corporate and professional commissions. I have also been honing my skills with fashion photography retouching, exploring new techniques, and building up the experience and equipment necessary to bring out the best in the things I am fortunate enough to see.

With winter fast approaching and a bit of a delay to updates to the site this year I have decided to completely overhaul the site with a fresh new look and a brand new catalogue of over 350 shots.

To combat the shorter darker days ahead I have decided to dedicate my work to the summer that has just passed us by.

It’s been a very busy spring/summer 09. Glastonbury Music Festival being fortunate enough to photograph The Prodigy in action being a personal highlight. The Drum and Bass Arena Awards being behind the decks to capture legends like Goldie and LTJ Bukem at work. My own first solo wedding which was some of the most challenging and most rewarding thing I have done so far, as well as the Lift Molten Festival and press shots for Curve Pusher studios being published in Core magazine have been a few of the causes for my recent activity. This has also taken me to three new countries never visited before. The Mediterranean countries of Malta and Italy have provided a wealth of culture, varied landscapes, beautiful architecture and warm hospitable people. The third country is of course Venezuela in South America with sights of unparalleled beauty that I hope I am able to do justice here.

Thanks as always to everyone that has been a part of things from day one and those more recently, from the support of friends to jobs that I have done as favors that have lead to much more I have been both happy and ready to tackle each new stage and challenge that I am fortunate enough to receive

There are lots of exciting things leading up into 2010 and carrying well on into the future but I’ll save that news for next time. As always any and all comments/feedback gladly accepted I read them all and try to respond whenever I can.

Warm Regards

James Lealand
